Canvas Calendar Sync ("the Extension") is a browser extension that helps users export their Canvas LMS calendar as an .ICS file and sync it with their personal calendar system.

Data Collection

We do NOT collect, store, or transmit any personal user data.

Specifically:

  • ✓No user credentials are collected or stored
  • ✓No browsing history is tracked
  • ✓No personal information is transmitted to our servers
  • ✓No cookies are created by the extension itself

Data Access

The Extension only accesses:

  1. Public calendar feed URLs from Canvas LMS when you explicitly click the extension button
  2. Current tab information to detect if you're on a Canvas page
  3. Local storage to remember your preferences (stored only in your browser)

Data Transmission

When you use the "Sync to Calendar" feature:

  • The calendar feed URL (a public link) is sent to your configured server
  • This transmission only occurs when you explicitly click the sync button
  • The URL is transmitted over HTTPS for security

Third-Party Services

The Extension interacts with:

  1. Canvas LMS - to extract publicly available calendar feed URLs
  2. Your configured server - to process calendar imports (optional feature)

We do not have access to your Canvas login credentials or any authentication tokens.
