What is the difference between weighted and unweighted GPA?
Unweighted GPA is on a 4.0 scale where all classes are equal. Weighted GPA gives extra points for advanced classes (typically +1.0 for AP and +0.5 for Honors), allowing GPAs above 4.0.
How do I calculate my GPA?
Multiply each course grade point by its credit hours, add them up, then divide by total credit hours. For example: (A=4.0 × 3 credits) + (B=3.0 × 3 credits) = 21 points ÷ 6 credits = 3.5 GPA.
What is a good GPA for college admissions?
